About "The Bow Lady"

My name is Cheryl Oehlert, but I am better known as "The Bow Lady". My business began in 1989, shortly after the birth of my daughter. Unable to find quality hair bows at a reasonable price, I decided to make my daughters hair bows. Little did I know at the time that making bows would become a true passion, and eventually be my livelihood. I soon began giving hair bows as gifts, and other Moms began to ask if they could buy bows from me, and I quickly realized the demand for quality hair bows at a reasonable price.

In 1992, as I faced divorce and becoming a single Mom, I wondered if my passion for making bows could become a self-supporting business. Using my University of Missouri business degree, I was able to build my business and continue my stay-at-home Mom status. I take great pride in my business and the earned reputation of the best hand-tied quality hair bows available. I am now making my hair bows available to you on-line. My hope is that you will get as much pleasure and fun with your daughter(s) as I have with mine. Our little girl(s) give us a very brief window of time to enjoy this bow-wearing age.
